Chip Shop, Palantine Road, 2000

Fish, chips & mushy peas - £2.00!

This was at the top of Palantine Rd, just off Whitegates Drive. It's now a Domino's Pizza it seems according to Streetmap below.

    That definately is Central drive, just off Chapel St.

    At the end of Palatine Road on Central Drive. They used to do the best burgers when I was a kid.

    Mojoes joke shop was next door.

    I think this place got closed due to repeated health & safety/hygeine issue (I forget exactly what - it was a long time ago) I remember reading about it in the Gazette and thinking "Hang on, that's my chippie!" I used to go in there when I lived on Reads Avenue and they always tasted okay to me! It was run by a chinese couple. Love this blog by the way!
